What You Need To Know

Have you taken the time recently to step back and do something you really care about? If not, you are denying yourself a healthy relationship with the things you love. Many of us have hobbies that we truly care for, but the real question is how many of us have dedicated time to those hobbies? 

 

    The importance of hobbies lies in our need for creativity and expression. Hobbies come in many shapes and forms, all of which offer us a gateway to a peace of mind. Stress is relieved when one is engaged in their hobby because you are giving yourself a space to drown out the world and do something you love. Amid the quarantine, many find themselves aimless and sluggish due to the lack of exposure to daily life. A solution to this issue is to engage yourself in an activity that you deeply care for. Hobbies can be found in forms such as: 

 

  • Drawing

  • Dancing

  • Photography

  • Gardening

  • Knitting

  • Hiking

  • Cooking

  • Music

  • Video Games

  • Sports

  • Rock Balancing

  • etc.

Be conscious of your time spent indoors and don’t let the time go to waste. Utilize this time to engage in something you truly love to do. In doing so, you will allow for your mind, body, and soul to engage in something that brings meaning to you, resulting in a sense of peace and accomplishment. Take some time out of your day to truly reflect on what interests you, and if you fail to realize what you love, don't be afraid to try something new!
